Being a long weekend, catching ferries becomes a critical part of enjoying a few extra days off. An early ferry from Vancouver left us with hours to spare before taking our connecting ferry to Pender Island. Knowing that Victoria would be incredibly busy, we opted to spend some time in Sidney instead.
Sidney is a great pedestrian town with many fine quality independent shops and a lovely waterfront .
We enjoyed a bakery lunch, picked up groceries , indulged in some treats at the art store, and walked the pier.
Sidney also has some great public art pieces.
With so much to explore in a small area, Sidney was a great diversion for the whole family.
