Winter Paddle

+5C. Calm water. No wind. We couldn’t resist going for a December paddle.

No seals today, huge bull kelp, the odd gull overhead, and a heron perched on a float in the distance.

Beach glass was found, as was an amazing piece of wood for carving. Shells and rocks were admired while we drank hot chocolate from a flask. Then it was time to pull the boat home before dark.
