Seals – Part 1

blog seals _RIMG0145 bFor the last little while we’ve been watching the rock that sits a bit past Peter Cove (Pender Island, BC, Canada). The rock is interesting enough, but what really intrigues us are the seals that frequent the rock. We finally had a day with quiet water and decided we were brave enough to venture out. Once we reached the rock we realized it wasn’t nearly as far as we thought; clearly all the time on the water has made us braver and more confident. We were able to float and watch the seals. Some dove into the water and swam with the kayak from a safe distance. It is an amazing experience to sit and watch such amazing animals in nature.
