Traveling down South Otter Bay Road we came across a field of sheep just as it was getting dark. Surprised to see babies in the middle of winter, we just had to stop and watch (and take a few pictures even though lighting wasn’t the best!).
Our children “oohed” and “awed” giving a running commentary of what the lambs were thinking and doing.
As the little ones ventured further our children described the adventures the little lambs were having. The dips in the field appeared to create a few challenges for the little guys, so it was quite a lively show to watch.
Of course we can’t leave out a picture of the “white sheep of the family”!
I do that a lot too, with the commentaries….
It’s pretty fun to give sheep a voice
I was just looking out our window to the Meadowmist Farm in the valley below here in Mayne Island and thinking it must be about time for lambs. ThenI saw your post and thought – sure is! Best of them weekend to you Deb.
My children were just saying the other week that they want to make a trip to Mayne again, they love going to the lighthouse. Such a pretty island you have.
