This was a day of heavy cloud, dark skies, wind and rain. A wintry day on the coast. The lighting wasn’t picture perfect for photography, but it still had its own charm.
A few brave gulls held their post and looked out to sea. Not a single boat was moored at the dock; a very unusual sight.
This stormy day actual provided the inspiration for a painting I have just completed. If you would like to have a look it can be viewed at one of my other blogs, www.debrahunter.wordpress.com . The post is “Heavy Ceiling at Hope Bay, November 2013 – Pender Island Art”.

I like the lighting Deb – a very typical stormy West Coast look.
Thanks Kenneth. It was definitely one of those days where something was brewing in the clouds.
