In Canadian terms , no. Last year we kayaked in February. Sometimes the golf course is closed due to frost. It rains, but rarely freezes. Last November we left the island and it was about +10C, as we crossed into Alberta the temperature started dropping and by the time we were home it was a blizzard and I think -42C (yes that is a minus!). So by “Canadian” standards…..almost tropical! LOL!
