Tracy Road Beach Access – Pender Island, BC, Canada

Tracy Road Beach Access was an unexpected, yet pleasant, find. As much as we enjoy going to our “usual” beaches, we’ve decided to present ourselves with a challenge where we are attempting to visit all the public beaches, viewpoints and walks on Pender Island. We have a map with all the locations marked and we are checking them off one by one.

We decided to check out the beach at Tracy Road quite simply because it was near the hardware store. Let’s just say we spend A LOT of time at the hardware store as many parts of the house and garden need work. We thought that since we were at the north end of North Pender Island, we may as well check it out.

The walk down to the beach was a little odd with the path running through the woods directly alongside a road; at one point we wondered if we should carry on, but we were certainly glad we did. Once we descended the steep staircase to the beach we realized what a beautiful location this was.

The tide had just gone out leaving behind a great selection of star fish, crabs and other sea life. The views were stunning with bright blue skies. We watched sailboats and kayaks go past. It is a great rocky beach; one that we will definitely revisit.
