We came across this little guy at the William Walker ocean access on South Pender Island. To be honest, we have no idea what this little beach creature is. He slithered out of one little tidal pool, then across the beach, into another tidal pool, and then under a rock.
In this picture our little friend is next to one of the little crabs that frequent the Pender beaches. As you can tell, this little creature isn’t huge.
If anyone knows what this little sea creature please let me know. We have no idea what it is, but would love to know.
Definitely in the eel family but I don’t know the specific name for this one. Quite frequent in tidal pools.
Thanks Kenneth. I had no idea eels could slither across a beach, I always thought they were the type of creature that stuck to deep water. I have a lot to learn about marine life.
